- Founding member of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology
- Raised over $1.5 Million in seed and prototype development funding for innovation projects managed without equity commitments.
- Restructured and renegotiated a $1 Billion supply chain contract
- Developed strategic sourcing plan to deliver $100 Million savings over three years
- Led strategic sourcing pilot program for the NSW Government delivering 12.4 Million savings
Leading the innovation activist movement, Amy-Renee believes that all the solutions to our problems exist in the here and now, we just don’t know where to look for them; the solution may even be resting inside your head or heart.
Amy-Renee Hovorka is changing the game for innovation as CEO and Founder of Innovation-Firebug, she has developed a methodology and platform to value, advance and commercialise innovation that is globally scalable.
In addition she consults with companies to develop innovation strategies and integrated innovation programs that motivate every employee in an organisation as Managing Partner of Flame Thrower Consulting.
Amy-Renee has always been passionate about the development of industry based on innovation and the quantification of ambiguous information, studying an undergraduate in Manufacturing Management and an MBA. A certified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) she has had a strong career in strategic procurement, delivering $100 million savings strategy and leading procurement transformations. She started to deliver on her vision for innovation activism, as a founding member of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, where she was working with the university inventors to manage their innovations through the development process and build new industries from their inventions.
